You can absolutely run any servo with the DX3S without issue. Check out the preview on the DX3S I did below for more information on the radio:

oh and when i first saw the article i thought it had mph as one of the features, but we cant have everything can we,i wonder whats the easiest way to get mph readings,i seen the gps strapped on,but that weight, and that would effect performance on lets say my 4tech....and i think there is a venom one,not sure bout that one tho...

Well I got mine already, and its COOL. I just read the manual and it does have MPH. You just figure the rollout of the car, first set the display to be speed, then roll the car until you get 10 revolutions of the flywheel, then measure total distance traveled in inches, divide by 10 then enter that value into the radio. At least thats what the manual says. I love all the telemetry stuff and it has more features than I'll mess with I'm sure. The only thing I was missing is a backlight for the display but thats not a biggie. I heard the steering wheel was kinda stiff, but thats not the case, its actually on the easy side. The manual has really good instructions for setting up everything even pics for mounting the RPM sensor. The extra sport reciever is going into my Academy GV2 electric buggy since i dont need telemetry for that one really. I'm really stoked to get mine all installed into my Robitronic Protos, its gonna rock! For the price of FM radio this can't be beat. :D

wow seems like alot to get mph,is it acurate,or an estimation based on rpm's
|
I think i read that it was just an estimate based on the RPM and the conversion factor thats entered into the radio. Due to the natural slip of a nitro clutch at low speeds, i would guess its more acccurate the faster ya go. I'll just be using RPM readouts, thats more useful IMO. the On-road nitro guys might use the Speed setting more I would think. Cool to have that option!

so would it be safe to say if im not running nitro this wouldn't be the best radio for me ? i already have a 2 dx2's but im looking to get another spektrum that can handle more then 4 trucks i was looking at the dx3r but this is more in my budget. the trucks i run are all electric got a slash emaxx losi8t-E and looking at getting a rock crawler

So far my brother has only used his in his LRP 1/18 Shark and it was perfect. I'm going to use the telemetry in my nitro truck with the telemetry on it since that is what its there for. But the sport receiver was fine in the Shark.

I have mine in a VTA so I can monitor the BL motor temp.
So far the only issue is ME not being used to the extre servo speed from the OLD radio I had been running. Bob Oaks |
I HAVE FOR SALE A NEW NEVER USED SPEKTRUM SR3300T TELEMETRY RECEIVER AND ALL THE HARDWARE WITH IT. GOT RADIO YESTERDAY. $85.00 SHIPPED.
