Getting Hot

Hi i have a Peak Racing Hellfire 27t motor and every time i use my 3600 nimh battery pack the motor gets really hot after a few minutes of run time, could this be cause from wrong gearing? Any advice will be very helpfull.

Cheers George

yeah, just put it down a few teeth on the pinion.

Agree to trying lower gearing. But what kind of shape is the motor in? The comm where the brushes ride, is it a nice shiny copper color or is it kinda black looking? Might be time for a comm cut and new brushes.

Just had a look at the motor the comm is shiny

Probably gearing then. What vehicle, (the Yokomo?) and what do you have it geared at?
