RC SOFTWARE FOR RACE BY TEAMS

HELLO

A FELLOW CLUB IS TRYING TO PUT ON A RACE BY TEAMS, DO YOU HAVE ANY CLUE FOR AN RC SOFTWARE THAT CAN HANDLE A RACE BY TEAMS.
BASICALLY THIS RACE IS GOING FOR 2 HOURS, BEING EACH TEAM CONFORMED BY 3 RACERS WITH THEIR OWN PT.
THE IDEA IS THAT A MINIMUN OF 3O MINUTES PER RACER PER TEAM IS REQUIRED. SO FAR LAPSFREE AND JLAP, THE PROGRAMS USED HERE ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH THIS FUNCTION AND WE DON'T WANT TO TAKE OUT
THE TRANSPONDER EVERY TIME THAT TEAM CHANGES ITS DRIVER, IT WILL TAKE TOO LONG NOR WE DON WANT TO ADD TIMES MANUALLY, IT WILL BE TOO COMPLICATED AND BORING FOR THE NARRATION ON THE MIC

SUGGESTIONS WELCOME

Are you going to have multiple drivers race the same car, but still want to differentiate lap times to the driver?

Sounds to me like 3 drivers and 3 cars per team

I'm confused. It started out sounding like there will be 3 drivers per team each with his own PT. But then it was mentioned switching transponders. So more info would be good.

More than one car per team racing? This would mean more than one PT which leads you to have to manually add together lap times. Is that really a hard thing to do?

Why not race with just one car/pt per team? I've seen it done where one member is driver, one is a marshal and the third is manning the pit area charging batts etc. Easy to keep track of the laps this way with only one PT.

This is the way I've seen it done....you create the name, for example, "Red Team", "Blue Team", etc. in whatever software, sign them up with that name and assign them a specific transponder.

I know with JLap you can do teams with X number of racers/cars with their indivudal transponders/cars.

Our club uses this software for our 2 enduro meets every year. Goes without a hitch!!

If PTX personal transponders were used instead of AMBrc PT's they could all be set to the same PT number so they would all count for the same team score with no need to change transponders.. very useful for enduro and team racing! ;)

PTX transponder info at www.rclaps.com if you're interested.
