I can wholeheartedly recommend the $20 Intellect packs. Me and 4 or 5 guys at the track have been using them for at least a year and no probs for all of us. I don't bother disconnecting mine when not in use but usually charge at less than 1C but I do that with all my packs, not just these Intellects. Just some insurance to help them last longer I find. But the Intellects can't be beat for the price, IMHO.

Man that sucks. How bad is it? If its just a little, and not getting worse, I would say they are fine. Just because a lipo puffs a little bit, does not mean it is garbage. I know guys that run puffed up pack's every week. Including myself...

I have the LRP 3600mah in mine. It is getting quite old, but no puffing and plenty of runtime. They are expensive though.

I always charge my lipos below the charge rate limit. Usually 1amp. They seem to last longer that way. I still have old lipos from a couple years ago that are still in great shape.
It normally take an hour or slightly over to reach a full charge and the battery is still cool. My charger will also do two at once so hi charge rates are not necessary.

I've had one blow up in the past so I'm somewhat conservative.

Hey Guys,

I just picked up a used M11x. I've got two models set up in the radio.

I wanted to verify that when I want to switch models I need to go into Display Mode, select the model I want, turn Display mode off, then turn the radio back on with the On/Off switch. Correct?

I also searched, but I haven't found anyone in this thread that actually uses the Traction Control function. I thought it might be handy to set up for those low traction days. I'll have to try playing with the settings to see how it works.

Thanks,

Chris

Chris, you can just flip the switch on the side while the radio is off to go into display mode, choose the model, then turn the radio on from there. I wish there was a way to switch models w/o having to take the display cover off.

I think I have it now. Thanks.

I played with the Traction Control funtion. The manual is clear as mud on how it works, but I igured it out with a little experimenting. I am going to start with:
Traction: 1% (this is the step size, smaller is smoother)
Delay: 15 (this is the delay between steps, smaller is faster)
Point: 70 (this is the percentage of full throw that the servo moves at full speed again)

I put TR-D-F (Traction Control Delay) on the Trim 4 switch so I can turn it up or down on the fly.

Do any of you guys use padded tape on the handle of your m11x to make it more comfortable to hold?

Also any ideas on how to make the trigger a bit tighter for smaller fingers - I find that going from throttle to brake is not smooth. That's the one thing I like about the Ko Eurus with its adjustable trigger.

I put a layer (tube) of shrink wrap around the brake side of the trigger to do exactly what you're asking about and it not only helped in making it a bit tighter, but I find it provides a little extra grip as well.

I use Fizik Bar Wrap for bicycles on my handle. It makes it feel better against my scweaty paws...

I have seen some guys use fuel tubing, not sure if it would work on m11x...
