I reckon open it up, live a little! Like you said, it's either that or the bin.

Is this lvc set high? If its bumping a reasonable lvc setting like 6v, sounds like it getting close to time for a new one anyway?

Only thing I've seen describes this as a little piece of pcb with wires in and out. Seems like if thats what you find should be easy enough to remove and rejoin wires.

It did this on its first run. I think it is just cr@p. I will open it up on the weekend

you can bypass the trinity cutoff by opening the case and soldering a peice of wire from the negative battery lead directly to the negative plug. :deathstar

(just make sure that you don't over-discharge the battery while running it)

If it has been acting up since new, why not see if Trinity will take care of it under warranty before opening it up?

In my experience with one of these packs, the cut-off adds a lot of resistance. I have since relegated the pack to play use...when I want to run LiPo in a basher toy that doesn't have it's own cut-off.

I tried to discharge one of these packs on my Turbo 35 and it got hot enough to drop the fuses right out of the bottom of the charger. Never had this happen with any other packs (Yes I have the LiPo update in the charger and no, I don't discharge LiPos regularly or ever below 6.5 volts. Every now and then I like to see the resistance of my packs). I don't remember the exact number, but the Trinity had 4-5 times the resistance of my Peak/Orions. If it's not the cut-off they must use pretty poor cells.
