Steering adjustment help
 

I need a little help. I have a cen matrix rtr buggy, with the stock sanwa mxsport radio and stock servos. I've noticed right from the start that my streering is faster turning right than left. I'm new with radios that have more than 2 trim options so I'm not sure where I need to go with this. My steering throw wasn't as much to the right as it was to the left, but I have that adjusted now. Thanks for the help guys

im not sure and havent ever used that radio but the steering shouldnt be faster to the right or left ....should be the same ...on some higher dollar radios you have a steering speed and or exponential adjustment that speeds it up or slows it down (the sensativity i mean ) but it shouldnt be faster to the left or right it should be the same speed to left and right :nod:

Did you check for binding? With the servo disconnected are the wheels hard to turn?

I checked for binding with the servo still connected and couldn't fell any binding. Thinking about it now, I need to trim the steering to the right for the buggy to track straight, I wonder if I reset the servo to zero and reconnect the steering linkage, if that might help. thanks for the help

I checked the binding, which there was none, I zeroed the servo out, and had the same effect.... starting to think I need a servo up-grade.

i mean you could have something there ...with the servos ....the best way to center the steering is to
1. set all steering trims to zero or the centerline on the knob
2.attach servo horn to the servo ....note you may have to adjust the linkage that the servo horn is connected to ...you want it to engage the servo right at the point that the wheels are straight ....
3. its hard to get it just right without using some trim adjustment right or left
4.still the speed at which it moves right or left should be the same ...check again for binding cuz that was a great idea that i hadnt thought of ....

finally you may have a blown cheap stock servo ...:(

listen to see if in the direction it moves slow if it makes any clicking popping noises....

even without the steering horn on the servo, turning the servo to the right isn't as fast or crisp as turning left. I think I'll be buying a new servo. Any recommendation for a new one? I can't afford a top of the line, but a "middle of the road" servo would work.

and hitech will replace it if it breaks ..all you have to do is print your reciept and then go to there website and print a return sheet ...and your golden ....

also you may need a new servo horn if you dont have adapters that came with your kit ?

you may have to waller out the hole you use sometimes the bolt that goes through there doesnt quite fit ...
