Battery info please!

Are the ib4200 cells the only ones that were bad about blowing up? I guess what i would like to know is if anyone knows how some of the new cells are. The 5300mah cells that orion is selling the ib4600's and the energ green and black cells. Any input is apreciated thanks!

From the time IB cells were introduced to RC they have been popping like popcorn!

Personally I prefer GP and EP in that order.. much more stable and last longer..

I can usually get a year of good racing every weekend and some practice out of a pack. Then I retire it to just practice or give it away.. this is only because of lower voltage from an old pack.. not cells going bad, popping them or false peaking.. they still work.. just not competitive as a newer pack.

No its not just the ibs, any modern day cell has a potential to go boom becuase the outer cell is staying the same or slightley bigger size but the inner is getting bigger at a higher rate because of the bigger capicities. And due to this the inners dont have as much space to expand and so forth so the only way to releave preasures in the cell is to pop.

I find ib to be the fastest on the track and last a long time if you look after it properly

But when choosing cells it is all just opinions

Opinions.. perhaps.. but backed with personal experience...

You just don't see GP cells doing this.. ask around..

If IBs work for you.. cool!
