Default HELP! ICE charger and Hyperion lipo balancer

Hi All,

I have recently upgraded to lipo's, intellect 25C 3800mah and 5000mah. I also bought a Hyperion EOS LBA10 balancer, as the Duratrax ICE charger does not have an inbuilt balancer. I had to rewire the balancer to accomodate for the battery not having a cable. Having all the components connected the charger automatically sensored that the battery was not connected? Has anyone had any experience in using a balancer with the Duratrax ICE??

Thanks in advance.

I know when I use it with my GFX I have to push the black button on the balancer one time so the green light is off. maybe it's the same for you

Natos,

I have an ICE and use Electrifly Equinox balancers for my flight packs. With the Equinox, I press the black button so that the "Interface Mode" light lights up, then I hit the charge dial/button on the ICE.

I downloaded the manual for the Hyperion balancer and have to admit that it doesn't work the way any other balancer that I have ever seen before works. You have to connect the balancing jack from the battery, AND the main power output from the battery to the blanancer? Weird. Never seen that before.

The Hyperion balancer manual is pretty clear. Are you sure you re-wired it correctly?
