I have never heard of anyone doing that. I don't know that it would make a lot of difference but I don't think it would have any negative effects on the battery. If anything I would think it may increase pack longevity slightly because different cells are being rotated throughout different areas of the pack and are sharing the strain more evenly.maybe?

Rather than unsolder and resolder the pac to change batt order, use a batt tray. That makes sure all the cells are performing at their best which is what you're after by changing order. I've never heard of doing this either.

toughts

will my toughts are this ..

1 2 3 4 5 6 ... i think as u charge your pack cells 1 and 6 take the abuse of pack 1st .. another words they charge full then drain to cells 2 n 5 and so on ...

if this is on right track . then maybe flipping them would as was said last longer and charge better ??

someone at track i race at said he heard a few guys doin this ... so wasnt to sure ..

i guess we look for every ounce of horsepower we can find lol

If this is a soldered pac, I think you can potentially do more harm than good due to the additional exposure to heat from unsoldering and resoldering the pac. If you know what you're doing with an iron, not so much of a big deal - then you could see if it makes any noticeable diff.

If it was worthwhile, suspect pros would be doing it and subject would've been mentioned somewhere by someone. Never seen mention of doing this, even being concerned with it for that matter. Post back and let us know how it works out.
