The Truth , 977
2 Attachment(s)
Here's the truth about the 977. It charges lipos with a CC routine unlike most cc/cv routines. That's it, the volt reading is something else.
The graphs are a bit shakey , but the first is the CC and the second is a normal cc/cv. |
I just got it today and couldnt be happier, runs alot cooler than my 960's did.
Thanks to the cooling fans. I fully charged all 11 of my batteries one right after the other and it was barley warm. |

977 Power Supply Burning Up...?
I plugged in the DC Power-Supply in the wall power outlet without plugging it in the charger. Then I smelled something burning coming from the power supply.
Was that a wrong move? |
Better Charger and Power Supply
I replaced the MRC 977 charger and power supply with the Graupner Polaron charging system(EX-1400 Charger and 2012 Power Supply).
It cost a few dollars; but it's a better charger. |
MRC 977 Power Supply Burnt Out
The Power Supply that came with the 977 Charger totally smoked-out yesterday.
First the charger and power supply started making clicking noises. So I unplugged then replugged the main power cord from the outlet. Then a fizzing noise and smoke started coming from the power supply. Is there a better power supply can I use with the MRC 977 Charger? (it's for my kids batteries) |
