Default In line ESC LIPO cutoff ?

I'm looking for a in line lipo cut-off to use with non lipo ESC's. I've heard somebody makes them to cut the ESC off at the critical LIPO 6volt cutoff point. Anybody heard of them ? Got any idea where I can get one ? Thanks.

Well, if I understand your question right, then Novak does make a Smart Stop device that can connect inline with ANY ESC(& can also be used with Nitros, I believe) & prevent a battery from overdischarging....

Check out this LIPO SHIELD from Common Sense RC.

Specs:
Model: LipoShield
Specifications: Input voltage: 1s to 12s Lithium or Lithium Polymer
Cutoff voltage: 3.0V/cell
Weight: 3.5g/.13oz
Works with all ESCs
Applications: Any plane without an effective lithium cutoff.

For $20 and 1s to 12s seems like a better deal then the Novak. I just ordered one from my LHS. I'll post a review once I get it.

I used the Novak 2S Smart Stop with my old Tekin G-10 and it worked just fine. Only hassle is all the extra wires and LED.

Thanks guys, I'm just wondering if the "Soft stop" prior to hitting 6 volts would effect the end of a run instead of cutting of right at 6 volts. Hmmm, something to think about.

Unless your not topping off your pack after each run you shouldn't even need the cutoff for racing. Bashing, yes you'll need it but a soft cut off shouldn't matter then.

If you run a lower capacity lipo that wont last two races get one just in case of problems like the power goes out like at my track or you simpaly just forget
