Spektrum Question. help!

will the spektrum rx from a blade 400 3d helicopter work for onroad as well?? or are they made for flight only? someone was telling me crazy stuff and got confused.

The AR-receivers only work with air radios (DX6i, DX7, X9303, 10X, 12X) and the SR-receivers only work with surface radios.
