Default Spektrum receivers and heat....

I ran a race today in 105 degree, dry weather. About 5 minutes into the main I started glitching into fail-safe. I keep my receiver in a baloon to keep out dust. Any chance I was glitching because of heat?

Default Spektrum and heat...

I have used a Spektrum system since they first came out. Here where I race, it is often well over 100 degrees in the summer. Never had a problem from heat.

What type of car are you racing? Off-road/On-road... Gas/Electric.. If electric what kind of ESC and motor... if gas what type of batteries power your RX?

One thing I see a lot of people do is cut their Spektrum RX antenna.. this greatly reduces your range and can cause signal loss if you lose line of sight between your radio TX and RX.
