OK get this.
Im racing around yesterday and my motor started to chatter then it stopped working. I thought maybe it thermal-ed and shut itself off. I walked out to it and the reverse worked, but forward did not.
I took the truck to the bench and checked for mechanical binding and there was none. the drivetrain turned freely. I took off the pinion gear and tried to spin the arm, and it wouldnt go forward. ( it would turn backwards)
I plugged the battery back in and gave it a bit of throttle, the motor would not spin forward. THIS IS THE WEIRD PART. when I throttled it, the blue wire moves around on its own. some current is making some flux field and making the blue wire move away from the other wires. when I let off the throttle, it would move back.. Ive never seen that in all my time with tese motor systems.
anyway, the think WILL NOT SPIN FORWARD no matter what.
your thoughts? btw this is a GTB and a 6.5.
thanks,
Pete

Have you taken the motor apart and looked inside, imo that is the first place to start.

Yeha it was the endbell bearing. it had partiall siezed and is now damaged only allowing the rotor to move in one direction. I replaced the bearing and now just the sensor jibber-jabbers like normal.

you just made one-way bearing.
