I couldnt really see what u were doing but when u enter the throttle and brake input...u have to hold it at the top most position...i.e. Full thottle/full brake...and then hit set and then let it go...i think u were just hitting it and releasing it then pressing set... What u just showed me is the issue i had when i first got the esc. Its def a calibration issue.

Thanks guy. It is working. Hahha. I don't know what I was thinking. Should have known. Totally forgot. It's working but now my programming card is not liking the esc. Plug in, turn on. Program card turns on for split second and off. Guess I'll try to program by hand. Thanks again. Life saver.

Alright, bustas issue is fixed Now, will a higher C battery and a capacitor "fix" my issue with stuttering and losing signal?

My friend had issues with glitching on xerun 150a because his servo was sucking too much juice. He tried a cap and it didn't work. Put on bec and issue fixed.

LoL ur welcome...Told ya so. HW escs last man I personally think its very hard to have one of these go. Especially when theyre running cool with a fan attached. I agree the calibration issue is a PIA...but once sorted, there is nothing like it. Just get a new LCD card and ur done homie.

If youre asking about 8th scale Im not too sure. I do believe a higher c rating may help...I know most people run a 4s in their 8th buggies and truggies. I dont really mess with 8th scale so I dont know what the preferred batteries and Crating to use are. But it sounds to me that a higher C would provide a higher constant source of power to override the stuttering...who knows I may be wrong but I know people who used the 8th scale esc love it.

Silly question, you said youre running 2s right? Are you using 2 batteries or just one? I know most e-buggies and trugs use one 4s batt and thats it. Again I never really mess with 8th scale stuff...not a big fan. My boy has a savage flux 2350 and thats powered by a MMP with 2 7.4v 8000mah venom 2s batts. Each battery is like as heavy as a brick but that esc has the worst power delivery Ive ever seen. Cogging, stuttering and not smooth one bit. Not that in a MT it matters when youre mostly bashing but Id never buy it after I saw how it drives. Especially from a dead stop it looks like its got parkinsons disease.

I'm using 2s in 4x4 sct. I usually run nitro so this is all new to me. From what I can find out I need better batteries, just ordered 2 nano-tech 5300 50-100c's. Hope it works, I'll find out on Friday.

Once you get sorted with electric you will not look back...this I promise you. Nitro has its moments...when its tuned right lol. But that all changes with weather and other factors that really dont matter with brushless setups. They all have their issues. But Id rather deal with charging batteries and keeping my motor and esc cool than chase a tune all day.

Default Matching?

Hi guys,

After years of playing nitro, I am going to convert into electric. Hope someone can clarify my doubts.

I have a HW Xerun 60A ESC ver 2 with a 8.5T Xerun 4000kv motor currently.

I would like to upgrade to a motor with the following specification:
Can Size: 540
Turns: 5.5
RPM/v:6000kv
Sensored: Yes (Standard 6 pin harness)
Pole: 2
Max voltage: 7.4 (2S)
Max Current: 48A
Max Watts: 500w
Resistance: 0.0064ohm
No Load Current: 3.5Amp

Will there be any over heating or any other problem?

I run Gen Ace 5000mAh 2S1P lipos on my truggy.

Thanks in advance.

You will be fine running 30c+ on nexx since it's not too heavy. As for 80c, for 4x4, not too sure if that's a strong enough esc. 120a or 150a is more ideal. I would just get external bec to try it. That should fix glitching issues and losing control. What servo are u running? Some suck up alot of juice causing glitching.

I'm running a Hobbico CS-170, same as older hitec 5955, similar to 7955. I'm wondering if I can try something to give me an idea if this is my problem. Can I use a 6.0v nitro receiver pack to see if that solves my glitching problem? I think I can wire it like an external bec, remove red wire from esc and then just plug the battery into the receiver. If that works then that should tell me if adding a bec would fix my problem right?
