The motor and esc are not even warm when I take it off the track, so I don't think its thermaling.
Also this problem does not happen every heat.

The lipo is fully charged before each heat and I've ran the same lipos in my SC without any problem.

Anyone have any ideas?
Sounds like your lipo cutoff is set too high and when your on the throttle and steering at the same time it kicks in then goes back to normal after a few seconds of standby. Try moving your cutoff to 3.0 or 2.8 and see if it helps

Just got to run my 150A esc today for the first time and I had a blast driving it. My question is with the programing card. On the pc I set up 3 different profiles and can save all the different settings to the esc all at once by hitting the apply button. When setting the esc w/ the programing card, it doesn't set all the settings for the chosen profile all at once does it?? I have to choose the profile and then go thru each setting and ok it to make the change to the esc. Is this correct or can I somehow apply all the saved profile settings at once??

There was another thread, "Cheap power systems" I believe, where someone had tested them and confirmed they were a rebadged HW. Search for the thread and it should have some info

Already tried it, seems like a copy of Xerun V2.0 (cables are ABC then + and -, while they are mixed on the Xerun V2.1).
Less quality (when you sold the wires, the little cup move easily because it's not a high temperature tin like on HW Xerun or other ESC) so maybe it would not last like a HW.

Default HW 150a esc issues

Hey guys I just got a HW 150a esc I updated the firmware to the newversion and put it in my sc10 4x4 with a cc 3800 and turnigy nano tech 5100 saddle packs and using a Flysky GT3B TX.

However now I have 2 issues:
First it doesnt seem like the brakes are working. The drag brake kicks in but that seems to be the only brakes I have.
Settings:
Forward and Brake only
Rev set at 100%
Drag at 60%
Initial breaking at drag

I have tried it with For/Brake/Rev setting also.

2nd issue is I have a ton of servo lag. When I hit the throttle and turn at the same time it lags badly, and the more throttle I give it the worst it becomes. Right now at its worst its about a sec of lag when I give it full throttle from a dead stop. It even does it when there is no load on the truck (upside down). My servo is a Hitec 5645MG.

I haven't had either one of these problems until I changed escs, CC MMM and Sidewinder. I have tried putting a capacitor on the 3rd channel (16v 4700uf) to help a glitching issue like I had to with my sidewinder and it didnt help.

Thanks for the help.

Can you post a link to the 150a esc you have? If it's the one I have, it doesn't work very well on 2s.

seems like the cutoff voltage is not accurately measuring the actual voltage, this is same with my 120A. I tried setting it @ 3.3V/Cell but when the cuttoff kicks in, i measured the actual voltage and its still 7.8V hmm... so i set it to 2.8 and the cutoff roughly kicks when its @ 3.1v.... Seems like a bug, hope HW will look into this... have 2.0 and 2.1version, will have to check if its the same with the 2.1 Version.

will an sc10 be enough to run my tekin pro 4 4000kv on 2s and 3s? or should I step up to an sc8? Looking at replacing my castle mamba max as it is giving me problems and the hobby wing stuff seems to be problem free lately.

Also where is the best place to buy them with a chance at getting it within a week rather then 3 weeks???

The SC8 would work allot better with a pro4. You should also take a look at the new SCT-PRO, which is only $5-10 more but can run sensored. The cheapest place to find it is Aliexpress.com for $82 shipped, but it would be longer then a week. I don't think there's any place that can you get you one in a week except hobbypartz, but there a little more in price and dont stock the SCT-PRO, only the SC8.

hope this helps,
Aravan.
