would the 35a work with a 550/540 3300kv motor? In a 2wd buggy.

You might be pushing it if it's actually a 550 motor but a 540 3300KV motor should work fine.

so i have one of the 80a ezruns that came in the redcat aftershock 8e...... from the start I am having issues. I turn it on, its wot, flew off my stand and ripped a chunk out of my arm. So i figured whatever, my fault i should have put a better radio in it and adjusted the break/throttle. Threw in one of my futaba receivers and calibrated it. Still does it, only this time I was smart and took the wheels off.....

Am I doing something wrong? I've never had a problem like this before. Any help is greatly appreciated as I really don't want to call redcat...... that will be my last resort.

Did you calibrate with all trims set to 0, EPA and D/R at 100%?

The esc needs to learn your settings. Press the little red button by the on off switch. And turn it on, should start blinking. Without touching throttle press red button again. Then do wide open throttle, should blink twice. Then do wide open reverse, should blink 3 times.

That should fix your problem.

I had this happen once and found I had plugged the speedo into the steering channel.:eek: Those tires get angry and will eat your a$$ up.:tire:

anyone running the 8th scale esc in a 4wd short course truck on 2s? Or has anyone used the SC Pro esc they offer at 120a?

well..... I thought i had it because it didn't tear off on its own.... for maybe 10 seconds it worked like it should. Then it tore off again and hit everything it could until the tire snapped off. It has to be the esc at this point, ive tried 3 radios/receivers and calibrated about 500 times.

This is what i get after 10 seconds of control and about a 30 sec. of chasing it.

all the garbage that came in it stock hobbywing 80a and whatever motor they have in it. I just wanted this truck to beat since all my other stuff costs too much to bash, but i guess it just beats itself. Towards the top of the page I first listed my problems.

damn thats with the 80a.....wow i have the sc8 esc and don't have that issue, does it do this while you are turning the wheels? what servo are you using?

ya it does it while i turn the wheels, it has some junk no name metal gear servo in it, i threw my hitec in it to see and it still does it. Tried different batteries still does it, stock radio, spektrum radio, my 3pk, still do it. I forgot to mention it must not be the motor it works fine with my rx8

Try it with a glitch buster my Mamba Monster did that in my losi 8e and once i added the glitch buster it stopped, what may be happening is the receiver and servo are pulling too much power causing the esc to spin the motor...

I don't know now i turned it on and it seems to work ...... for now.
