so it doesn't come with the fan, correct?
so I can get away with the 60A version? Seems a lot less power than manna max pro

what about price? The 60A seems cheap but 120A is much more so I'm struggling with which one to get

thanks

If racing 120, if bash just 60. All hw esc comes with except 1 or 2 models.

How would a 60a be for a 2wd 10th scale buggy? I'll be running a 4000kv 2-pole.

HK/HW 150 esc

I got out and threw some rocks, I have it at med, 4 for time being and with 6s it makes all 4 pizza cutters. For 1/10 scale I have run the 60a sensoried controler, wasn't happy with either CC or HW unsensored in doors, or onroad. cogged to much off the corners, lost the appex of the corner, by the time it started pulling again, the sensored HW runs a 17.5 D3 great for my son, who is heavy handed.

Does anyone have any current 10% codes for them on Hobbypartz.com right now? I'm so far, loving my 120amp xerun in my Losi SCTE and now want to pick up a 150amp as a back up for my 1/8th scale. Thanks!

Just bougth a 150a hobbywing esc and the 4274 motor, could not find what temp it could run at so i sent a mail to hobbywing.

They replied that the engine could run at 120 celsius and that the esc had a built in overheatprotection.

I dont know but 120 celsius seems very high to me.

When I turn it on the led blinks green twice. Is that sensorless mode? I thought it automatically detected sensored/sensorless?

Its worse now. I lowered punch to level 1 and timing to 0 yesterday and it seemed pretty good. Today I charged and pluged the battery in and its undriveable, sputtering, cogging, no steering when I hit the throttle, etc.... I hooked the program box up and confirmed all the settings and its still at level 1 and 0 timing, and I have the smallest pinion on I can get. Any other ideas? Its the big blue 1/8 xerun with Novak HV 4.5 and 2s lipos(tried with 20/25/35c)

I just had the same problem ran it the other night Perfect (150A Tekin 1400kv on 6s) Today at the track Cog cog cog I get 4 beeps then red light

Motor just vibrates.

Pulled the sensor wire still nothing Unplugged everything drained the power from the ESC and tried again nothing??

Very weird. But I have another buggy runing the 150 and 2250 HW motor and not a problem in the last 2 years

Would love somo insight

hello guys im kinda new to all this. Ive been ready these posts and could someone explain what the difference is between sensore and sensorless? and what about difference between 35A,60A 120A? which is better?

brighty 09-04-2011 11:47 PM

Sorry fellas I'm a little confused...do you buy the xerun system as version 2.1, or are they still selling as version 2.0 meaning you must updated the system after recieving it?

bustanut666 09-04-2011 11:59 PM

hi all.. my xerun 120a is acting up now.. not sure if its repairable.. wanted to see if anyone has any input.. had it for over 2 years and yesterday.. it started going crazy.. when i turn it on.. car would go full throttle.. so i rebinded the esc and even receiver.. all settings on radio is at default 100%.. but still, when i turn on the esc, car goes full throttle.. so i put in another esc/motor and everything is fine.. question is, is this esc a goner?? or are there any tricks, maybe i could reflash the firmware on esc or even put on a newer firmware??

It was listed at $87.70, but then with the 10% off code, I got it for $79 and free shipping on all orders over $50.
