I have a brushless 18A hobbywing esc for rc plane. It works pretty good. The esc can be program to cut the battery from supplying to the motor when the battery voltage is at the minimum voltage if u are using the guard version.

Using this esc will save your battery life.

I have the Hobbywing 120A car controller. It's very good, but they are only sold in Asia. Hobbywing makes the Speed Passion and Venom that are being and will be sold here in the US. I also think Hobbywing is making the new Orion controllers.
