Make sure all of your batteries are new or good and charged. This has fouled many, many guys :weird:
There are a number of things that could be causing your problems. Just take them one at a time to determine whats gona hay wire. Did you need to wire everything yourself? Are all of the connections good and the polarity correct (positive and negative connections)? Are the servo and speed control plug in the correct place on your reciever? Does the motor spin? Double check nothing is sticking or causing binding in your drivetrain. Being you have a 40mhz radio set, is it safe to assume you are somewhere in Europe? Something easy to check are the crystals. Make sure they are snugly installed and both are the SAME frequncy:eek: Good luck:cool: |
Chances are the receiver has failed.
The Tamiya ESC doesn't regulate the voltage from the 7.2v battery down to the 6.v that the RX and servo like to run at. The RX that usually comes with the 2PL doesn't have a B.E.C built in like some of the earlier larger RX's that came with some earlier Futaba models. So if you plug it in (even all wired up correctly) you will blow the RX. If you brought the radio as a package from a shop they should have known this and sold you one that was compatible with your ESC. If this is the case take it back and explain this to them and they should fit it. |
