Novak GTB with lipo cutoff.
I bought a GTB used is there a way to check if it has a 6v lipo cutoff?

Or you can be paranoid like me, and take a non lipo battery and run it down, just to make sure, and learn how it responds.

Can you turn the cutoff on and off, or is it always on?

I does have the cutoff. I downloaded the instructions off of novaks site and set it up. Gonna test to see if if works tomorrow at the track with a nimh pack.
Next question, how do I know if I have the sintered rotor?

Well, there are a couple of ways, one is to just remove the motor's endbell(on the opposite side from the end where the wires connect) & have a look at it. If it's dark gray/charcoal or black, then it's the older style bonded rotor, & if it's a shiny silver color then it's the sintered one. The other way(without taking anything apart) is to just manually turn the motor's output shaft, if it feels kinda "notchy", like the way brushed motors feel, then it's likely the sintered rotor, with the bonded one, you can hardly feel any of that "cogging" effect as you turn it.....
