Spektrum M11 module system - question about receivers

I have an Airtronics M11 with a Novak Switch module and a bunch of Airtronics synthesized receivers.

Currently, Spektrum is running a deal where if you buy a radio or module based system they'll send you a free receiver, and if you buy up to two additional receivers, they'll send you up to two of the same receivers for free. Smokin deal I'd say!

The Airtronics Module System (SPM1012) comes with the radio module and an SR3001 (Pro receiver). For additional receivers it looks like I can purchase either more SR3001 (Pro receivers) or SR3500 (Micro receiver).

Here is the question: is there any drawback to the SR3500? It appears that it omits the telemetry system. If I never intend to use the Spektrum Telemetry system, is there anything else I'd be missing? I race 1/10th onroad Nitro and Electric, 1/12th onroad, 1/10th offroad Electric, 1/8 offroad Nitro, and have a few minis so I'm all over the place in terms of vehicle types.

I'm just concerned that the SR3500 might not be intended for all classes of vehicles.

Opinions?

I think I'll post this in the Rookie Zone instead.

1) As far as I know, you've got a handle on it, should be fine with a 3500 for any vehicle, just no telemetry

2) I sure hope not!

Good deal. Thanks!

Time to order up a module and a few receivers!

(yeah, I think some people get a little carried away with their signatures!) ;)
