Forgotten NIMH
 

I stuck a 5 cell hump in a corner and forgot about it for several month's. It shows 0.00 volts and errors out on a .2 amp charge attempt. Anyway to wake it up or is it toast. Pack was virtually new when I forgot it. Thanx

I would parallel the pack with another 6volt pack and maybe you can get the pack up to minimum voltage. Also you may want to try charging with a wall charger at a very low rate. Most modern chargers won't charge a pack with 0 vdc.

thanx .. I kinda wondered if I could pull something like that off. Unfortunately, I got tired of lookin at all those damn wall chargers and tossed them .. LOL I'll gice the jump batt a try. Do you see any neg results on the good batt ?

The only thing that could happen is that the old battery has an internal short (which rarely happens) this would put a dead short across the good battery.
Just monitor the heat and voltage of the good battery; if the battery voltage drops extremely quik then I would disconnect the dead battery immediately.
