ICE charger problem

i bought a new ice charger about a month ago, put a backlight in it, and its been working fine... i was using it this weekend and charged my packs 2 or 3 times, then yesterday when i went to put them on charge again it would give me a output short circuit error, it wouldnt start the charge no matter what i tried...... i took the case down and all looks fine... anyone have any ideas?

Were your bannana plugs in correctly? Not trying to be smartazz. If not I'm not sure. Both battery's do the same thing?

Does the charger indicate an output voltage on the Data View screen with the battery attached?

LOL! i knew that question was gonna pop up... naaa man, i checked, double-checked, and re-checked again over everything i could think of and i had it all correct.

I recently bought (last week from Tower) a new one and it will not charge at all. It displays a message saying no battery connected. I've tried every Bat. I have and this still comes up. Any ideas?

Return it under warranty and get it fixed/replaced.

If your battery has a broken bar or the settings for that size/voltage of battery are set wrong, this message will appear. It has happened to me before. I didn't know what was happening. After messing with the battery I would find loose battery bars. Resoldered it and and started charging. Also I've mistakenly put the wrong profile on for the wrong battery. The charger was looking for a 3 cell lipo and not a 7.2v side x side pack.

Wiring probably broke inside.

Try a new harness (banana plugs, wire, and whatever plug you use to charge your batts with).

You hit the nail on the head! I took the side where the banana plugs, plug into the side of the charger and the Neg. wire was dis connected from the plug in. A little solder fixed the problem, and works like a champ now...
