brushless motor question
i've been out of electric for about 6 years and have decided to get back into it.i've never had a brushless motor.
i'm wondering what motors are out there to run in a stock (27 turn) class.it will be going in a xxxt cr. thanks |
13.5 brushless = 27t brushed
If you are planning on running at a ROAR track you are going to need a 17.5
Yes, I believe the 13.5 is considered "super stock." The 17.5 is the ROAR legal "stock" motor.
17.5 is correct. Novak was/is listing the 13.5m but it turns out that they are faster. New ROAR rules are 17.5
so is novak the best brushless motor?do the other brands use the same "rating" 13.5,17.5,etcc...?

All of the brushless motors are either rated as a 13.5,17.5, etc. with exception of the mamba motors which are rated by KV. I would probobly stick with a Novak, LRP, Orion or another top brand when choosing a motor. Also make sure you have a good brushless/brushed ESC. I would recommend the LRP Sphere series. It is really easy to use and they are Lipo compatible. |
