You can cut the wires on OUR motors...do not cut them on other manufacturer's motors. Most times they are extensions of the windings in the motor. Our windings terminate inside the motor and we then run standard wires out to the gold connectors. You can unsolder the connectors on the motor and ESC and solder them together under warranty though.

Why don't you just cater to the customers needs and put some 12 gauge on it for us? Seems like its a good thing to do what would you charge to have it sent in to put 12g wire on it?

I was getting ready to swap out for 12g wire but I thought better find out if its alright and other peoples experiences and came across this.

Awesome product though and the tuning software is top notch.

I use the MM for 1/8 scale conversions and I've changed out the 13ga wires for 12ga wires on all of them. No trouble at all. That said, I don't think it's necessary with the new firmware upgrade. I changed wires to eliminate (reduce) cogging. That's not a problem now, so I won't be doing it anymore.
