New radio

I would like to buy a new radio for my 12 years old son,
right now the decision is between the Spektrum DX3R or the Airtronics M11.

Does any one can tell me the weight of both radios without batteries?

Thanks in advance

i think you'll find the DX3R is considerably lighter than any radio out there. I don't know exact weights, but i'd guess the DX3R weighs about half that of a M11 with regular AA's. It is a lot lighter than my Z-1 that has a lipo battery.

id go with the m11 so when he starts progressing he will still have the top of the line equipment;)

after reading DX3R instruction manual, it seems to have all the feature that anything will need for RC car (unless you want "drive itself") except back lite.

there is an review on Xtreme RC of DX3R not 3.0. it look impressive, I am thinking of getting that if my current controller (Nomadio React) fails although it is least likely. 4PK is nice but not sure if my pocket is deep enough for it and Horizon has better customer service from my past experience with other Spektrum product.

Really, a review on Xtreme RC of DX3R?
Could somebody make scanning to showing out this page of issue, please?

Even is a little bit misaligned and unclear then makes me some difficulties to read it, but thanks anyway for your sharing.
Dx3r is awesome with competitive performance, design and fair price.
Hope could get it in my hand as fast as possible to join races.
