Default What should I do about a transmitter?

I used to race every weekend 3 years ago, however, I feel out of it due to time. Recently I have found out that I miss it very much. I have been out of it for awhile and am curious as to what I need to do to get back into it. I am running an Associated B3 along side of my T3. The cars are fine and seem to be tuned alright. I currently have two separate transmitters, a Futaba and a Python, both of which are old and not it terrific shape but are working. I guess what I am asking is if I wanted to do a complete electronic overhaul what would you suggest sticking in my hands and in the cars? Thanks in advance.

M-8 or M-11 w/spectrum. you can program mutliple cars on either radio and they are very comfortable also. With the spectrum you never have to worry about someone being on your frequency especially during practice time......

I would put a spectrum based radio into you list with 2 rx 's one for each.
If money permits a Novak brushless speedie and motor package. Even the budget version is good.
Throw in a Duratrax ICE charger and you will have a very good package at a good price with no hassles with Xtals, Interferance, Motor rebuilding and a good all round charger.

Yea but the transmitter sucks, the break is so far away. M8 or m11 if you can afford it.

Well if you only plan on club racing go with the DX 3.0 works fine and you will have your 2 receivers for both cars also will hold memory for I think 4 cars. If you dont want to go brushless you can pick up nice brushed ESCs pretty cheap these days. Pick up a GTX for aound 50-60 dollars. Modified brushed motors can be had pretty cheap as well. What is everyone at you local track running? As far as batteries go many are using lipos but most are running the 4200s or 4600s. Welcome back too! I had taken about 2.5 years off alot has changed!
