Default Team Orion 4200SHO Cells!

These should be a great new option, and its one of the few (if not the first) times an RC company has developed their own cell. I cant wait to try a set out after all the NiMh issues recently.

"Team Orion are close to releasing 2 new revolutionary, self developed, competition level cells. Set to take the EP world by storm are these 4200MAh SHO, super high output, competition cells that have been specifically developed by Oscar Jansen and the company’s Chinese Engineering development team to be chemically stable, which elimates explosions and cell failure due to self discharge. These are the first cells to be actually made by Team Orion.... "

Any decrease in cells blowing up will be great if the performance is there too

my 6 sets of IB4200s discharge at about 2600MAH now after about 8 months use. absolutely pathetic. especially for 8 minute 1/12th races

lets just hope these batteries aren't as temperamental

look shiney i'll give them that!

These cells have been around for quite sometime. Anyone has any experience with them? Any tips for charging, discharging, maintenance and storage?

Whats the settings to charge them using a Much-More charger?

Thanks!

I'll check some numbers when I get home.

They are 35 amp

Team packs have more runtime with good voltage
HV packs have a little less runtime but more voltage

What about storage between events? Charged, partly charged or no charge?

Default Advice no SHO

Hi peeps, I've just got myself 3 packs of Team Orion SHOs, question is, should the initial charge be charging at 1/2 C(2.1amps) and than after the next few charges I can charge at 5 to 6 amps? I'm using a Team Orion advantage charger, any advise on the step charge settings for these batts?

Thanks in advance

Put about 2000mAH into the pack after your main and they will be good to store for the week. Then when you go to use them again, discharge to 5.4V and then equalize before charging.
