Is my ESC bricked?
As the title states I'm looking for something help and advice with my hobbywing xerun xr10 justock g3s. I went to check firmware using the LCD program box pro using the bluetooth function and saw there was an updated firmware. I went ahead and followed the promts on the screen and and everything seemed to go alright. After the update I wasn't able to access the esc via the program box and it came up with a message to update the database. So I went and did that which took a little time but seemed to work. Now when I power on the car the esc is doing single beeps repeatedly like it needs to be calibrated. I have steering but no throttle and I can't calibrate the endpoints on the esc. I can get into the parameters and make changes but I still can't calibrate the endpoints. Even when going back to the previous firmware on the esc and the program box i get the same result. The esc will beep and the motor will sometimes make small movements. The battery is fully charged so its not the LVC and I am able to get the program box to work fine on another hobbywing esc. Any help would be appreciated!!

I did use my phone and the app to update the firmware. I made sure the car was functional before the update and left all things plugged in where they were supposed to be. The only change was the firmware and. Pw its not functioning properly.

Did you update the program box and then the esc? Maybe try redownloading it and updating the program box then the esc again. The files may have been corrupted.

Here's what I'd try in order to re-calibrate your ESC. It's very common for ESCs to need to be re-calibrated after a firmware update and any other settings you may have changed from defaults.
1. Make sure you didn't accidentally bumped the throttle trim off 0. 2. Try reversing channel 2 on your transmitter if it isn't already. It's common for the neutral PWM to vary slightly and it's possible you're outside what the ESC thinks is neutral on power on. Also it's common for Hobbywing ESCs and some brands of transmitters to need throttle channel reversed. 3. Try increasing the neutral range from normal to wide in the parameters with the programming box. For same reason as above. If none of these work, can you provide more details on what it's doing when you try to calibrate the ESC. |

The throttle channel reverse is usually for Futaba radios - doesn't even work on many others, IIRC.
