Might make a minor difference in 21.5JS classes, and single cell onroad. Not a big deal in any other class.

Its mostly great for racers that have to have, every advantage, but couldnt run a clean marshal free race to save their lives.

I read that as "it's not cheating if you don't get caught".

Detecting regenerative discharge is the same level of difficulty as detecting high charge rates. Walk the pits and look at the screens of chargers while they're on. And in the case of regenerative discharge, it's even easier as there has to be some kind of hardware connected to the charger to direct the regenerative current.

That is why most racers switch of their chargers when they are not charging so any inspection can not see the settings that is used.
