Helping Hands or Third Hand for Soldering

I need help holding my XT60 connector and wires when soldering! It should have a heavy base so as to not slide around. The arms should be sturdy and the grips strong. There are a huge variety of helping hands, third hands, and solder jigs, but I am looking for real world reviews and recommendations. See some of the different styles below that I have found. Which one do you prefer and why? Specific brands would be helpful as we know that just because two things look alike does not mean they are of the same quality nor do they offer the same performance.

Loc-Line helping hands/third hand - and there are many options with some being cheap and generic. This one is from SparkFun.

Not sure how you would even begin to consider a vice the same as helping hands.

Do you use that one? Looks like the typical, spindly and junk helping hands setup as seen below, but that Boom version expensive one for what you get.

A wad of poster tack is my go to. I like it better than the alligator clips.

A vice is solid and heavy, it will grab anything and stay put on the tabel and you can use it for other work as well. Clamp in the connector, hold the wire in one hand and the solder iron in the other hand.
All those 3rd hand crap are too flexible and will move if you push against it.

(there are more variants like this one)

And I'm not sure what's so difficult about using periods.

Thought I blocked you years ago. No better time than now.

I've been using this one for years, like 20years. There are plenty of solder aids on EBay, your choice.

I think that one has been discontinued after all these years. I can no longer find it.

I KNOW there are tons of choices. If you read my post, you will see that I am looking for actual feedback of specific units so I do not have to buy a dozen different helping hands / third hands / jigs to find a good one.

You are serious? As a kid I got this model as well and directly hated it. Every time I touched it it dropped down. And then every time when tightened the screws locking the ball joints it will happen again until all is bend and there is no room anymore to tighten it..

I bought this stand back nearly 15 years ago and it works flawlessly for me, I currently use EC5 connectors so soldering bullets is a breeze, I simply position the connector and wire in place, I also place the stand on my car to hold wires for soldering on the ESC and Motor as well :)

Okay, I'm not afraid to show my old school piece that has done its job for many, many years, even decades(?)...

But, I will admit, I'm due for an updated upgrade. The generic $4 helping hands from years past is not very helpful when trying to do/solder stuff already on a chassis. The items that JatoTheRipper posted are similar to what's in my wish list...
