HTRC c240 fire hazard
 

I just got an email from amazon about this charger. They offer a refund if I dispose of it. The thing is I used it for better part of 3 years without problems. I even have its cousin t240 which is a same charger just with a touchscreen lol. Anyways, just wanted to warn everyone, try not to charge inside.

Interesting, I've had one for about 4 years now and obviously had no issues. They are really popular too and I haven't heard of anyone else having issues. The article just mentions the C240, but like you say thats the same as the T240. I think the C150 is essentially the same too just the single channel. I can't imagine its a problem in the ones that have been working fine for years without issue? More an issue with some being faulty from the start?

Could be that they had a bad batch and now amazon is trying to cover their asses. I will definitely continue using it since it was my outside charger anyways.

Not to mention, they are still selling the charger but on a different store. Anything on amazon these days can be the exact same thing, just copies of each other sold by another store/s.
