Hobbywing Xerun?

I mostly run my RC at the skatepark under brutal conditions, however I like to have good quality equipment. Am I going overboard by putting the hobbywing XErun line on my 8th scale basher? I guess what I'm trying to ask is will the ESC and motor hold up under extreme conditions or is it going to fail under my ideal conditions? If so is there anybody that could give me direction on what the most durable ESC motor electronics are?

I'd say making sure it is protected from the shock of harsh landings would be key...double or triple up on your 3M 2 side tape...

All brands of electronics will fail over time, ever since COVID the quality has drastically dropped off across all brands.

That said, HW tends to be one of the better quality brands in general though they aren't what they used to be before COVID. Expect to replace these electronics between 6 months to a year... things may eventually change to where they get their quality back to pre-COVID days when I used to get 1-2 years before I had to replace my HW electronics.

No matter what brand of ESC you decide to get I would encourage you to use a shock absorbent foam pad by RC Body Armor:

Boy things change, we are running an Orion 1/10 scale from 2012 in a mod 4 wd buggy.
