Hi
Can I hook up an ac-dc adaptor power supply to an icharger? Like from an aquarium pump with variable speed ratings and a controller?
Will this even give me any added effect?

You can connect any DC voltage but it must also provide the needs of your charging. Like you will never charge 10A with a simple adapter from a aquarium pump.
