Default Sanwa MX-6

Search is not working so couldn't see if similar problems have been had.
recently bought a mx-6 for the kids 22x-4 I bought him, installed receiver and ran through the esc programming. Brought it to the track to make sure everything is running right before I gave it to him. Made one lap around and the car went into a full left turn and throttle glitched. Car will not respond now. Hobbywing juststock combo with 13.5 motor and a savox servo are in the car. This is my first sanwa radio and am not feeling very confident I made the right choice. My futabas have never done anything like this. Almost like the radio and receiver are unbound. Any suggestions? Pretty sold on returning it but the price and features are just right.

Definitely sounds like a radio issue of some kind. Usually Sanwa is great and in the same league as Futaba, and I'd normally recommend all of their radios - with the exception of their lowest tier, which is currently the MX-6 (and its predecessors). Although not because of problems such as you described, but because of the incompatibility with all their other radios. But in general I'm always kind of wary of the very cheapest option from any company. Maybe try and rebind it again - if it does any funny stuff again, I'd probably think about returning it as well.

I had issues with my MX-6 losing signal past 20 feet, got a replacement from the store I bought it from and it worked OK. Range was still quite limited though (maybe 100 yards?).

I'd get a Futaba or Spektrum over the MX-6.

Everyone I've seen try the MX-6 ended up with radio glitching issues and switched to something else. Sanwa as a brand is good but this model is a bit of a dud.

The 3PV is a good choice. The trigger feels a bit spongy for some people but if you're fine with the ergonomics it's a reliable unit.

I run a 3PV, and I love it. Enough config to race without breaking the bank.

great, i just bought one of these. Not to mention another transmitter for my sct.
hmm. hopefully it doesn't give me any problems. I haven't used it outside of say maybe 80ft-150ft and it did cut out when I lost sight. ive liked it a lot more than the rtr radios and receivers I've been using. go figure lol.

Only happened once but was enough to make me return it. Price and features wise it is a fantastic radio if it works.

well its happened at least 5 or 6 times now. I'm done with this thing.
Gonna get a used higher grade one hopefully soon from another off road racer.
Sanwa.

It happed to me twice this weekend in my f1 car. One of the times causing a part break.
once today on my sct. I don't think my battery's are too low. I don't think its the receiver. My RTR transmitters dont even do this. wth man.

It's too bad because the old MX-V was super reliable and a good radio and 99% identical to the MX-6, but they kinda screwed it up.

Changed battery's and went from 5.4 to 6.0-5.9
Still gonna change to futaba or an mt series sanwa. Not an mx!

I had an MX6 and it worked fine if there wasn't more than a few guys on the track running. Once there was 4 or 5 guys it would randomly lose signal. I switched to the MT5 and it's been great.
