EPA 150%
The throttle and brake EPA on my Tx can go as high as 150%. should I keep it at 150% when programming my ESC?
|
No, just 100%
|
Thanks!

By calibrating at 150% you will increase the precision when adjusting the EPA and brake strength, however this won't increase the level of output.
If you find that making 1% adjustment on a 0-100% scale is too big of an adjustment, then that's where the 150% trim settings can come in handy. |

I always calibrate with the max value of the radio (120, 125, 150) for the go side, but always calibrate with 100% on the whoa side. I never reduce the go side, but occasionally reduce the brakes. It's easier to think about a 100 scale instead of whatever the max value may be.

Same as what billdelong said. Theoretically more resolution. Theoretically. It's there, so why not?

Most transmitters and ESC's today work with at least a 12 bit resolution, that are 4096 steps. On a 100% EPA setting that is about 2700 steps, on only the throttle that will be 1350 steps. Is your finger that accurate that you can move one step?????? And will you nitice it? |

Esc should be calibrated above 125% forward on most radios. No need to go to the max.
Yes it can but should not! |
At least people no longer claim that your car will run faster if you calibrate your ESC with EPA at 100% and then increase it to 150% after. Don't expect too much.
