https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.rct...c28918c3e4.png Ordered this little guy from Amazon the other day. Using it with a 20v 65w type c laptop charger for power supply. I'm gonna use it at the track see if it works out. |

Neat little guy charged up my 4100mah shorty in about 10min from storage. The whole thing will fit in my radio bag make it nice when I don't want to bring the whole pit box to the track for some laps. Also the cost is low. Whole system with the charging leads was around $40. |
this is pretty cool actually. Im a huge fan of PD

Also the picture that has been posted with the Specifications clearly says Balance current: 0.5A/Cell Max
|
Yes it's a balance charger. Here's the specs:
Model No.:PD60 Input voltage: DC 5V-20V Output voltage: DC 1.0V-20V Max Input Current: 3A Charging Current: 1A/2A/3A/6A Max Charging Power: 60W Balance Current: 0.5A/Cell Max Support Quick-Charge: PD2.0/3.0,QC 2.0/3.0 (Not supported 5V/1A power supply input) Support Battery Types and Cell Count: LiFe/LiHV,LiPo 1-4S NIMH/Cd 1-12S Abnormal Voltage Alarm: Support Incorrect Cell Count Setting Alarm: Support Working temperature: 0-40°C Storage temperature: -20-60°C Dimension: 56x85x21mm Weight: 87g |
The maximum input current of 3A is something to notice...
Say you want to charge from a 12v source (most common) then you can not charge with more than 36 watt, for a 2S battery that will be 4.5A, the 6A will never be reached..... With 3S and 4S it will be much less. |
Yea needs to be powered with a type c USB 20v 65w laptop charger. I was going to check output with my meter. There's a couple reviews on YouTube for it more for quadcopter guys but it's small and it seems to put out 6a for 2s anyways. I have my doubts about 3 and 4s though.

6a for 4s? no, 3a? yes. It has a charging power of 60W, so with 4S with the charger set at 6a, the charging rate would be around 3.5amps max.

Using a 12v source uou have only got 36w, then with 4S you will be left with 2A charging current. |

I've seen 240w USB C cables but not the power sources yet. I say yet because there will be devices coming out using the higher power PD 3.1 USB standard. Will be cool to see if we get chargers that use that.
