Can you upload settings from MT44 to M17 via SD card?
 

Looking to upgrade from my MT44, but not interested in having to redo all of my settings again for 9 models.

I do not think so, the same question is on a daily base asked in the Futaba groups if settings from the 7PX can be transferred to the 10PX. The simple answer is no because both transmitters have for sure one setting different, the choice of transmission modes. I can imagine someone did program a translater but you have to look arround on the web, maybe on github.

I can’t believe no one has a definitive answer for this. And no, I haven’t contacted sanwa yet because this is kind of an impulse buy and I’m already starting to say screw it and just stick with my trusty MT44.

Unless you're doing some in depth mixing or something, it doesn't take long to set up a model on the M17, which is definitely a step up from the MT44. (Have both)

In fact, if you are using any mixing, there's actually more options with the M17, I still haven't figured out how to set up an "oh shit" button for my wife on the MT44 (oval racing).

I know exactly how long it takes to set up a model because I just finished manually putting all 9 profiles onto this single tx from my 3 other remotes. Not interested in doing it again.

You need to do it again bc no 2 radios are the same. So even if this is possible it will not feel the same. This is the definitive answer you are searching for

Not entirely - some settings like channel direction, trim, dual rate and EPA will likely translate across if you're sticking with the same brand. Expo might behave differently, but it's easier to fine tune that alone rather than setting absolutely everything up from scratch.

You want an answer, but have not reached out to the manufacturer first??? I am a futaba guy since the 80s. And never have i been bothered by reentering my setting, as ithelps me learn the new one.

Good for you bro. Not sure what any of that has to do with my question considering you don’t even own a sanwa radio. I’ve already lost interest anyways. Thanks for your non-help.

Different potentiometer part numbers and different calibration,ain’t gonna happen my man. In the amount of time that the OP made this thread and reads all of the arguments he would have been done setting up his new radio already. It literally takes minimal time to do this properly.

What have you done to find out beside only asking the question if it is possible, with the question I have the idea you did not even try it. And so if Google could not find anything for you then probably no one has ever succeed.....
If you can store models on the SD card I suggest to open the files with a simple text editor, with some luck something readable comes out that you can compare with a file from the other transmitter.

Every Sanwa radio I've used has the exact same neutral and end point outputs out of the box. The radio should be calibrated straight from the factory such that the inputs give full 100% from the radio, and it's a digital signal sent to the receiver from there.

Besides, they already said they've done it already.
