Futaba 3PV Glitching
Hey all, if there is a thread about this please just link it, otherwise could someone help me out with this issue:
I have had the 3pv for atleast a year, 0 issues in my indoor season with 1/12th scale. However this year in the outdoor season, with my nitro car (havent used electric tc yet) when the battery is around 5.0-5.4 volts it will randomly glitch and turn off, then turn back on. I put new batteries in it, drove fine for 4 minutes then it glitched again and put me right into a wall :). I asked around and a few people say its because its a cheaper olderish model so other frequencies may wash mine away, and some say it could be the antenna on my car since I am running the R204GF-E which has an internal antenna. I will be trying one with an antenna I am borrowing and will update this later. Otherwise could I please have some help. Thanks. |
Never use in GP cars! The R204GF-E receiver is designed to be used only for EP Car models.

The E-receivers have nothing to do with a specific use in electric cars. It is just that the internal antenna dos not provide the range the external does and could give issues on bigger tracks.
Keep in mind that using such a receiver nearby a motor, esc and/or transponder it still can get an interference from them |
Thankyou, I used a TFHSS receiver with an antenna, it worked well however issues still persisted, car would turn off, so I beleive it may be my battery

A bad or underpowered BEC in combination with current hungy servo's (like most reported Savox) can also be an issue.
