Spektrum Questions
Okay I got two new vehicles and both have Spektrum receivers could I use a Spektrum DX5C with those receivers? or am I stuck with the stock radios?
The Vehicles are Arrma Outcast 1/5th scale and the other is a Proboat Blackjack 24" Brushless Catamaran thanks |
Depends the receivers, give us the model name/number.
But you can also do some google if people use such a combination or look on the Spektrum website wat receivers are advised. It is all about the used protocol. DSSS, DSM, DSM2, DSMX, FHSS.... |
The Outcast has a SR6100AT receiver and the proboat blackjack has SPMSRX200 receiver
|
SRX200 2Ch 2.4GHz FHSS Receiver (SPMSRX200): Spektrum - The Leader in Spread Spectrum Technology (spektrumrc.com)
FHSS.... this is a protocol not compatible with other brands FHSS (like Futaba) and is a differnt model compared with all other Spectrum models and not supported by other Spektrum transmitters. SR6100AT 6 Channel AVC/Telemetry Surface Receiver (SPMSR6100AT): Spektrum - The Leader in Spread Spectrum Technology (spektrumrc.com) DSM2.... that one is supported by the DX5C DX5C DSMR AVC 5CH TX w/SRS6000 (SPM5110): Spektrum - The Leader in Spread Spectrum Technology (spektrumrc.com) So if you buy a DX5C you will buy it with a receiver so you could still ditch the FHSS set to make both cars work. All info easilly found with some searching and reading. |
So I only bought the Radio itself with no receivers because I am upgrading from a dx3c but thanks for the information I had trouble finding anything on if they are compatible with the DX5C. So if I have to switch out receivers I'm willing to do it. I'll just have a bunch of radio and receivers to sell thanks

okay just got the radio and i am trying to bind it to my cars do I need to upgrade my receivers? My EB48SL has a SR3000, will that work with the dx5c?

The amazing DX5C is the perfect savvy solution for bashers, boaters and scalers who want a staggering list of advanced features that includes the virtually unlimited possibilities 5-channel control offers. Built around frequency-agile, DSMR® 2.4GHz technology, you can use the DX5C in any type of surface application, including boats. Its range and response, particularly in noisy 2.4GHz environments, are superb. It's also backwards compatible with DSM2® Spektrum receivers. This means most longtime Spektrum users can continue to use the receivers they have. They'll only need to upgrade if they want the robust 2.4GHz interference protection a DSMR receiver can deliver.
