Sanwa Telemetry Options

Anyone know of any way to get telemetry to an M17 with needing a Sanwa ESC? And on that note anyone have any experience with the SV-D2?

Guess I’ll answer my own question. After a ton of research, there are no non-Sanwa telemetry options for the M17. Basically forced to use a Sanwa ESC in order to get telemetry (I really just wanted to get temperature warnings during longer practice runs). There are no telemetry adapters available like the SBUS adapters Hobbywing and a few others have to enable telemetry on Futaba radios. Only positive is that with the new 49x receivers, you can get signal strength and battery voltage without having to run a Sanwa ESC.

Hello,
I don't know if you will see this message. I have the M17 and a RX-491. I try to get voltage from my lipo (which is a 4S for an electric car). I only have a fix value of 8V. I guess it is only the voltage of the receiver for people using nitro rc. How can you get voltage from the main lipo without using a sanwa ESC ?
Best regards

I don't think you can.

I run the Sanwa Vortex Gen2 Pro with my M12 transmitter in my 4wh buggy for the simple reason that I want to see the motor temperature and battery voltage. They are not bad speed controls, just a little pricy.
Ive had my thermal alarm go off at 165d during a couple of races, and I have backed off the throttle to get the temps down, while some other competitors have baked their motors.

But it is no 4S speedcontroler.....

You need a external voltage telemetry sensor.. I don't think Airtronics has one for m17. I know you can use Futaba with multipal external voltage sensors.
