Default New to 6s, what charger will work.

Hey Tech, I have been j. The hobby for 20+ years. But really only ran stock truck at a local club. Now years later I have got into scale/bashers & boats!

I recently picked up a 6s arrma. I have been using 2 3s batteries. But would like to get one 6s for convenience. My charger is 100 watts. Will I need a bigger charger for a 6s 6200 mah battery??

if so what is s budget charger that is s good pick??

With 100 W you'd end up charging that 6S 6200 mAh with not even 1C, so while maybe not strictly necessary, I'd recommend a new charger for 6S, yes.

Do the make one the plugs into wall? If I remember right i used to use a power supply. Really didn’t want to go that route.

HOTA D6 Pro can do it, but the charge rate is limited to around 200W when on AC which should just get you to 1C for your battery. You're not likely to find a high current 6S charger that runs directly off AC.

I think you mean Joule's law. Ohm's law is regarding resistance.

The SkyRC PC1080 doesn't require a power supply and gives you over 500W of 6s charging power on each channel.
