Default Sanwa MT-44 random singal loss swithing on

Hi All

I have a new MT-44 transmitter and 2 receivers for 2 different cars. It was fine for for the first few weeks I had it however last week it lost signal when switching on. After repeatedly turning the transmitter and the car on and off it eventually connected. It's now doing this on a regular basis, maybe every 4th or 5th time I power up the transmitter and car. Last race day I missed a race because it wouldn't connect. I tried binding it and that worked perhaps a coincidence. When it lost signal, I switched on the other car and that one had no signal either. Ive checked the Sanwa website and it has the latest firmware. Is it a dud?
