Default Recommend me a servo for my Serpent 989E?

As per the title, I'm looking for a servo for my new build 1/8E Serpent 989E. It's my first 1/8th, all I've ever driven was 1/10th ONR. I'm assuming you still want a wicked fast servo, but with the bigger size of the car does torque need to be considered too? Also, I've been running low-profile servos since 2006, I guess I'll need a full size one?

So many questions.....do you have an answer? Thanks!

Anything around the 10kg mark will do. 1/8th needs more torque due to the additional weight, low profile or full size doesn't matter for onroad.

Beware that these cars have a front one way, so a wicked fast servo will land you in deep trouble.....

Ok, that's a new one on me. Can you explain how a super fast servo can be detrimental combined with a one-way?

Cheers!

One ways are "aggressive", and provide lots of steering. Too fast a servo can catch you out, unless if you like it/have lightning reflexes, but I reckon any "normal servo" will be fine.

Huh?

Plenty of people using the fast 0.05 to 0.07 sec servo's w/o issues. It is stil the finger determining the speed movement. Also I have never heard of a too fast servo in such a car.

^I admit this is a matter of personal preference.....

once had a servo that was too fast, didn't like it.

Of course it is, but keep in mind these are pretty fast cars and so you do need a fast servo to get arround a tight track or do a small correction if something goes wrong in a fast corner.

They're definitely fast. It's my first 1/8 and I'm quite nervous to drive it, considering the fastest class I've run before this is 13.5 TC.

I drove my friends and he said that he hadn't seen me smile like that for years. I had to have one
