Default Arrowmax Tire Warmer vs skyrc and others

Looking for 1/8th scale tire warmers.

I'm intrigued by the arrowmax tire warmers with a battery warming bag combo, but they are about $170 to my door.

Worth it to pay nearly double over skyrc or other similar brands?

I like the muchmore tire warmers. You can put a 3s battery pack inside that never has to be removed because of balance plugs in the case. The tire cups are aluminum and durable. The casing doubles as a car stand.

I'll check that out. I do need bands instead of Cups though, as this will be used primarily on truggy tires.

Even the cheap GT power tire warmers will do the job
https://www.rcmart.com/g-t-power-rc-...tp-21-00036099

Or the SkyRC

But not larger than fo GT/Buggy tires.....

I've reviewed some warmers here as well as showed how I made custom warmers for 1/8 Truggy wheels:

I actually saw that. I want something a little more refined than just the single temp box. That being said, did you see any difference going up the chain. I do like the idea of it being possible to power it by battery and I ahppen to have a 3s that I'll never use for anything else.

When you say "going up the chain" I take it that you mean spending more money for a higher quality product and what do you get for the money?

The cheap GT Power warmers won't fit 1/8 cars but they get the job done just as well as any other warmer on the market... only difference is a mechanical dial that reads in Celsius where the digital warmers can toggle over to Fahrenheit and they also offer timer features and ability to set different temps at every corner if you wanted. Some may feel all these extra features are necessary but honestly the cheap warmers will still get the job done where you can velcro 2 sets of GT Power warmers together to work on a 1/8 if you want to save some cash.

If you know how to make some pads with resistance wire and velcro you can use a simple cheap Aliexpress temperature controller like I did:
Made a 1/18 tire heater.

A 3S battery as power looks awesome, keep in mind the battery function is just for the use of going from the pit table to the track. No way you can use it all day. A one time full warming up will drain the battery empty....

Some good info.

It sounds like many things. Increased cost brings increased adjustability, improved packaging, etc. There may be some added features, but those features may not add value.

Appreciate it.

The GT power won’t come close to fitting on a 1/8th tire. It barely fits on the front of a 4wd tire and doesn’t completely wrap around a standard 2wd/4wd rear. Bought it being cheap myself.
