It looks to be aimed at a decent price point. The receivers look promising, but the wheel needs a foam.

Definitely seems interesting; it uses a different protocol as not to directly compete with their other products but it still kinda does given the features. Maybe they will retire the GT3B/C lines? I like how it uses the $400 flagships cell phone holder bracket. It looks to have tank mixing in the menu whereas the NB4 doesn't (you have to configure the mix yourself) and that was considered flagship at some point. As long as it's not built has cheap at the GT3B was, it should do well.

I can't tell if this is supposed to slot above or below the FS-GT5. I'm guessing above, but then it has the plastic wheel...!

Planning to get one for review.

Seeing how it has two more channels than the FS-GT5 and is also much more programmable, I'd say it slots above. The question then becomes why change to the "ANT" protocol at that point? Flysky definitely dances to the beat of it's own make believe drums.

It is a peculiar protocol choice coming on the heels of the AFHDS series. My guess is that FlySky is the OEM supplier to the off brand Chinese RC companies and that the ANT protocol was developed for the lower price point products. It appears that there are two (HobbyWing?) combo ESC / receivers listed that might find their way into some WL Toys type cars. If the ANT protocol is the case in those products, it will make this a desirable transmitter to consolidate vehicles to a single transmitter for many owners.

Looks like it comes with a foam wheel in addition to the plastic one!

I’ll definitely pick one up for crawling the GT5 lacks channel mixing, and the steering & throttle dead spots are super annoying.

Saw the review, nicely done. I don't need this radio but at 70 bux, I may pick one up just to have it.

Anyone know where to purchase the foam wheel from? Amazon has it as a suggested search text but the results don't show it as a product. And searching the FlySky "Shop" site: https://shop.flysky-cn.com/search?q=...prefix%5D=last
Only results in one for the GT5/GT3C and that's sold out.

Also why can't I find the FS-r4b receivers either? I see the 7 channel sold separately (same that comes with transmitter) on Amazon with some silly pricing happening ($40 listed with -$20 coupon to click/check).

The foam wheel isn't sold separately, but you can buy a Yeah Racing steering wheel for the Noble or buy a Noble wheel. They fit, but stick out a few mm more so there is a gap.

if your considering Flysky is NB4 or Nothing If your in the super budget market Radiolink is where you want to be. Radio Link Budget Radio Systems are far better than the Flysky Budget Systems. cant wait for my RC8X to Arrive to compare to the 7PX, M17, NB4

soulcoma - Thank you for mentioning the RadioLink products. Hadn't heard of them before and now it's #1 on my list (rc4gsv3 + the receiver 7 to have voltage telemetry) looks to be a great deal. Want to build a crawler for it's main usage but might get another receiver for a Traxxas slash that has a Futaba radio/receiver I haven't been completely happy with.

Since you said "...build a crawler for it's main usage..." you might want to take a look at the Flysky FS-GT5. It has much better options for crawlers.
◇For crawlers it has:
•4 wheel steering "crabwalk" ability.
•6 channels.
•SVC (smart car control).
•Gyro stability function.
•CRAWL function (incl. 4 car climbing modes).
•ABS with 6 parameter settings.
◇It also has
•20 model memory wirh naming.
•6 color LED - user changeable.
•LCD display adj. Parameters include: Model#, Model Name, EPA, Sub-Trim, Trim, REV, D/R, EXP, ABS, CRAWL, SVC, F.Safe.
•34mm backlit LCD display.
•Folding Antenna.
•Uses AFHDS 2A.

It would be hard for anyone to say another radio would be better for a crawler RC , especially on a budget since you get all that for >$59 U.S.
