Sky RC BD250 software

I got a new BD250 today and downloaded the software on 3 different computers but when I try and run it the it says "discharger is not found" I used Breezip to extract after downloading the file. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

plug discharger into computer get known port then send software to that port. try hooking a battery up to discharge it so dc has power

I had a pack plugged in. Then plugged in the usb and nothing. Hit start and it says no device found. Tried 4 cables, 3 different computers, reinstalled software 3 times. Everyone else I know that has these just plug and play. Also, not sure how to find known port and send software there but thanks.

Check the Windows device manager if the hardware is correctly installed

I’m not a computer whiz by any stretch but you need a special usb cable. I tried numerous cables as well until I tried the one for my gaming headphones. Not sure why it’s special but it worked when other standard ones wouldn’t.

Gonna try that. Did some research and found that most cables are charge only as they only contain 2 wires. A data (or sync) cable has 4 wires (2 for charging and 1 for data in and 1 for data out). Had that happen in our new car as the maps feature wouldn't work with a cheaper cable. Thanks and we'll see.

Thanks Dave-man. Picked up a Micro data/sync cable this morning and it works fine. I found out that most USB micro cables have 2 wires (+, -) for charging only. For data (sync) transfer you need a USB micro with 4 wires (2 power, 2 data) Thanks

had the same issue trying to update icharger 406duo, right cable works wonders.

I went through the same issue a few years back! The Maclan ESC's I was running would randomly lose their mind and I would have to do a factory reset through the micro USB port on the esc. Realized that I forgot the cable that I normally used in my pit bag and ran to grab my phone charger cable out of my truck. Tried and tried and tried and it wouldn't connect to either one of your cars. So the one that was having the issue I pulled the escal and put a spare hobbywing in for the rest of the day after missing a round of qualifying because of it.
later on in the day a buddy who happened the be a computer guy asked me what happened and I said no matter what I couldn't connect to my esc. He picked up the cable and asked if this was one that I used to charge my phone and then gave me some knowledge that the cheap ones are not able to send and receive data🤦 Pretty much made sure to only buy the ones that work for everything all the time from then on.

I have had trouble with my BD250 with some leads that I know have data capability. On my BD250 the micro USB is not well lined up with the plastic case and some leads don't seem to connect properly.
