Rotor strength

Is the strength of the magnet everything in a bl motor? Ie: stronger always equals better?
i just bought a new zombie evo t and rotor feels very weak compared with old evo.

saying a motor is not as strong as other 1 is a poor way to compare them its when you put power to them

Cool, not sure why you'd think derisively is the best way to answer a question but thanks for the info!

A weak rotor magnet can affect performance. But you'd have to remove it and test it with a gauss meter of some sort and compare it to others. Stronger magnets better for torque, worse for high RPM. Given that's a drag motor, you've already got more torque than you take advantage of, so you want high RPM for higher speeds.

You're saying the 13.5 evo t is designed for drag racing?
i am only going by how easilly the rotor spins vs others.
From what Ive been told, the "T" in this motor's designation means "torque" but is still designed for spec racing.
thanks for reply

+1

back when I was racing stock classes I had used the following EMF Meter to check the rotors on my 540 motors:

I found that rotors on 1/8 motors were too powerful for this meter to handle.

Anyway, the EMF was relatively accurate and did prove to show that the stronger rotors would indeed perform better for my 13.5T motors on off-road turf where acceleration is more important than top speed. I also compared readings between the Trinity MonsterMax and Punisher Outlaw where the Punisher was about 10% stronger IIRC.

Sorry, my Google search for that motor, first result was their new drag motor. You never mentioned the turns.
