Throttle response with steering

Hi, I have a Traxxas rustler 4x4 vxl with a stock servo, stock esc, stock motor, and a stock transmitter and receiver, and when I pull the throttle, it doesn’t work at all but when I turn the steering wheel, the throttle triggers as well. I have just taken everything apart and put it on a new chassis and now, I have everything together and this is happening. I will also mention I am using a 20-54 gearing in case that means anything. I just need a solution, and anything will help, and I cannot just replace the electronics.

Confusingly, the Traxxas 6533 has two Channel 1 ports. It sounds like you might have the servo and ESC plugged into the first two ports, which are both for channel 1. Leave the first channel 1 slot empty, then use the second channel 1 slot for steering and the esc into channel two.

Thank you so much, that fixed it.

Recalibrate your ESC if not operating correctly.
